Choices ❤

We have a choice to how our day is, we have a choice in how we react to situations, to people and our environment.

Be Brave - step out - follow Gods path ❤

Trust - Seek - Lean on God in all areas of your life ....it maybe very hard at times and sometimes we need to be reminded God knows what is best for us even if we don't understand or see it. I know at times I have found this hard. 

There are times when I feel I am are in a tug of war, my will and understanding at one end and Gods plan, which doesn't make sense in the natural at the other end.  I can feel the pull, the pain and stretching as this battle goes on.  It's not easy but I know deep down God knows best and has the full blue print of my life when I only have snippets. So as  I get stretched and shaped, I focus on Gods word, and take every thought captive and know I am becoming stronger.....

By letting God guide and shape me....

Being Brave - stepping out - following Gods path

Seek GOD and HIS guidance for all things, including the plans He has for your life, Trust Him and His timing with all areas of your life, for He knows what's BEST for YOU! You Are is the result of an amazing lady Vanessa Gatman's vision and dream to empower, encourage and speak life over teenage girls. God placed a vision/ dream in her heart, Vanessa stepped out, trusted in God to provide and fill in the gaps. The result many lives are being impacted and changed. What is the dream God has placed in your heart, be inspired to step out and trust in God. BU and Shine ❤

The You Are project:-
Every young woman in this movie clip wrote the script. Their 'words' are theirs. Their struggle is real. Their insecurity is real. Their HOPE in God is real. They exposed their hearts so that every young woman who watches this is given permission to know that; vulnerability is the true measure of courage (Brene Brown); God can define who they are and not society. "You Are' is a God inspired conference for teenage girls to help them uncover their identity in God. Often young women define themselves by what media says they are and because it sets a standard of beauty that is out of their reach, they don't feel they measure up. Equally, society often sends the message that external beauty makes them more valuable so again, they get the get the strong message; "I am not enough." God says "YOU ARE.. precious, loved, empowered, created for a purpose. His definition of beauty is different. EVERY young woman is unique. Inspired by the studies of Brene Brown around shame and vulnerability, the Self Worth project and the word of God which speaks TRUTH and LIFE for our young women.

Let God Transform U ❤


As I sit here spending time with God..........

I see a flower bud, tightly bounded together and think how we start out as a bud, bound by our past, bounded by how we see ourselves, like shackles round our ankles. But as we let God transform us, bit by bit we emerge out, transformed, as God created us to be, bright, bold and beautiful.


Like a flower bud there is so much to offer inside. And yet we can become impatient and tell ourselves that we should be able to produce something extraordinary instantly. But that’s not how it works. Instead we have to see the potential, go through the process, be patient and under stand Gods timing is always perfect. Just as God created a flower to go though transformation from bud to flower, we also go through transformation.

As I continue to gaze at the flower bud I see small imperfections and think how perfectionism is about outward appearances and how perfectionism and being afraid to fail can stunt our growth.

And I think how.....
Growth is about what happens on the inside
Growth is about who we are becoming
And how when try to be perfect it can hinder our growth

Failures are a part of life. 
If you don't fail you don't learn
If you don't learn, 
you will never grow

Let God transform you - press in - grow - thrive - flourish

But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Waves of life ❤



I gaze along the shore as the tide comes in and watch the waves come a shore one after the other. I think of times when it seemed the waves of joy were swept away. When I hid what I felt. Hid how I felt vulnerable, sad and scared. 

In these times it may seem hard to trust in his word, to let go and fully trust God and to let others in.

But in times like this.............

Dare to let someone look into your heart.

Dare to let the closed spaces within you be opened and transformed in new ways that make you stronger and braver.

Dare to let someone catch a glimpse of your God given mission in this world.

Dare to start to move forward not worrying how small or awkward the steps maybe because these tentative first steps can lead to big, glorious things.

Dare to focus on how God sees you not how you see yourself.

We often want what is on our hearts to stay hidden. We don’t like to expose what's truly going on. But that is not how we are meant to live. There will be times of  low and high tides, Joy and sorrow.

It is often in our low tide moments in our lives and when we face trials that God does a hidden work.

As I continue to watch the waves come ashore. The space where I walked earlier has become invisible. But I know it’s there. When I close my eyes I can still picture it. But I know just like the waves wipe away the foot prints God wipes the slate clean. It changes how I think of the ocean. It changes how I think of myself.

Don’t be afraid of low tide times in your life they will not last forever. Live in that rest place God has for you. By showing vulnerability and showing the parts of your heart you’re afraid of having others see, allows connection.

Sometimes when you wonder if you’re doing okay, others just might be watching in wonder.

What is your focus ? ❤

Choosing to work in the smaller, less noticeable areas and devote our heart and our best gifts there is often a not easy for us to do. We are often looking for significant areas to walk in.

Lets look at Gideon - God had strategically set Gideon in this family, in this tribe, and in this valley for a reason. He fully intended to call and equip Gideon to affect his closest relationships before moving on to something and someone else. The priority of serving those around us is seen throughout the Scriptures. When Abraham was chosen by God to be the father of Israel, he was given instructions for what his first tasks should be.


"For I have chosen him so that he will command his children and his house after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just. This is how the LORD will fulfill to Abraham what He promised him" (Genesis 18:19, HCSB).


God has called us to make a difference to the people in our current spheres.

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ (Matthew 22:38, 39 NIV)


Centuries later, as Jesus' disciples were ushered into the age of the church, God gave them a unique power to function on His behalf, and then clearly outlined the course their ministry was to follow.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8).

The disciples were in Jerusalem when they received these instructions from Jesus. They were to focus on the ministry to be done where they were standing even as they began moving outward on mission. Start in your current surroundings before moving outward. First things first. Both for Gideon and for us.

Gideon had been reared in an idol-worshipping family. His own father was the keeper of the Baal altar in their town of Ophrah.


So Gideon took 10 of his male servants and did as the LORD had told him. But because he was too afraid of his father's household and the men of the city to do it in the daytime, he did it at night (Judges 6:27).

Often, like in Gideon's case, our smaller spheres of influence are not easier to contend with just because they are smaller.  Some of the most difficult and intimidating opportunities to walk in God's calling and being obedient to his promptings come when we are staring in the faces of those who know us best, whom we love the most or to approach that person in the street, supermarket or at our work place. It's often easier to stand on a platform and teach people we may never see again or people that love the Lord as much as we do than to talk and share God with our own children, friends, loved ones and our community. But these areas are the true heart of ministry.



Consider how Gideon must have felt tearing down what his father had spent his lifetime building, teaching, and defending. With each stone that he and his servants dismantled, another layer of the ideology that had overrun his family came unglued. This overnight idol-demolishing wasn't affecting some random town and family he would never see again. This was a task he'd feel, see, and endure the consequences of every day from that point on.

When you reach out to your community ........

When a teenager seeks to impact her school environment .......
When a coworker tries to influence her friends on the job.......
The stakes are often much higher when the mission field is personal.

What lies ahead in your journey should not take the focus off where you are right now. Wherever you are now is where you are meant to serve now. These innermost circles are often the ones that offer the least amount of worldly recognition. It is not worldly recognition that it is important, it is our father in heaven that matters. But this is why people often over look them. And yet your greatest impact will be done here - in your family and community.


Following God obediently may not be easy but it will be worth it.

Ask God to show you who the people in your primary sphere of influence should be. Refuse to search for significance in another place if you've bypassed any near and necessary steps in the journey God has for you. 

Pray for a courageous faith and boldness to start where you are. He'll give it to you.

Being Supernatural

The Spirit in you is greater than the spirit in this world.

We need to give up the natural and learn to live the resurrection life - Our God is a GOOD God.

It’s about living a life more abundant. Living in the fullness of what is available to us.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
  
We are born again, with legal access to the spirit, to the things of the spirit.We can’t live the Christian life without the spirit. We are spirit, more spirit than flesh, the spirit is what stays forever, we need to live out of the spirit.

Understand what it means to be born of the spirit. Study the word, learn to soak up his presence and be carriers of his presence.

 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Need to understand the Power of a blessing, it is so much stronger than a curse.

Light is more powerful than dark.

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power

Need heart knowledge not head knowledge.

Change the way we think - Live like God is powerful.

Declare the word to God. 

We need to know what we carry.

God Adventure ❤


I love how God speaks to us, we are so blessed in how we can press in and hear his quiet voice and promptings, that guide us and carry us to get through life's challenges.


God gave me this today.
We are on a God adventure, it maybe scary at times, hard at times, exhilarating at times, but this adventure is like no other. Best of all God is with us every step on the way - He will not leave us or fore sake us.

I love this "God adventure" and best of all even though each of us have a different God adventure, we get to journey together, helping and encouraging each other along the way.  Embrace the adventure God has for you and enjoy the journey!

POL – Pray out loud

Prayer adapted from Jill Austin book Dancing with Destiny.

Jill calls this a dangerous prayer, are you up for it?  

What are you prepared to do, or not do... are you prepared to surrender all.  To lay your will down for His glory, are you hungry, desperate for the Lords presence?

Pray out loud !

God, tenderize my heart again so that I desire to return to You as my first love. Wherever my heart has drifted or gotten lukewarm, return me back to You. God, I give You permission to do whatever it takes to make me wholly Yours. Set my heart on fire for You. Send a holy ambush of Your Spirit into my life to usher me out of the ruts that have hindered me from being a dreamer, a lover and a warrior.

Thank You for Your total forgiveness of my sins. That is such a precious gift to me.

How I ache to know You more! Draw me close and speak to my heart. I want to develop a secret history with You, Lord. Captivate my heart with the gaze of Your eyes. I want to see You face-to-face and not through the lattice, as Your Word says. Put Your seal on my heart so I am fully Yours.

Now, Lord, I ask You to release the fiery whirlwind of Your presence with afresh impartation of Your heart into my heart. I ask You to revolutionize my life from the inside out. Let an earthquake in my heart break up the fallow ground. Let the lightning of God strike me so that I become God-conscious instead of self-conscious.

Jesus, l am ready to give up control of my life and put You in charge. Forgive me for thinking that I know what is best for my life. It is hard for me to let go; the warfare has been so intense and the storms of life so great. But I can see that my way is not working. I want to run to You and not from You. Give me grace and humility to accept Your timing in my life.

Burn in me a holy desperation and craving for You. I need a profound touch from You, afresh baptism of fire from the Holy Spirit. I want a force field of Your glory surrounding me so I am dangerous for God. Will You radiate Your love and power through my life so I can do exploits as You promised?

I want to be a carrier of your glory and go outside the walls of the church, touching people in every arena of life. Lord, I want to know the times and seasons we live in.

Let me see people through Your eyes and not my own; help me feel Your heart for those around me. Break my heart for the lost. Cause revival to burn so deeply in my spirit that others cannot help but be changed by coming in contact with me.

I do not want business as usual, Jesus! I want a radical visitation from You. I must have a visitation. Will You help me to legislate Your mandates from heaven, to bring them to earth so I see things from Your perspective and not my own? I am asking You for divine strategies so Your Kingdom will come.

Open my eyes so that I can see what is happening in the realm of the Spirit. How I need keen discernment for the days I live in. I want to get Your plans, Your blueprints, so I do not build on the "land mines" the enemy has planned for me.

I want my heart to bless Your heart and give You the love that You deserve. Awaken my heart to worship You. I want to be one who desires You only.

Lord, I want to give You my life no matter what the cost.

You are worth everything I have. All I am—my past, present and future—is at the foot of the cross. Take all of me. Help me to be a big dreamer with You. Help me to be a fierce warrior for You, my King. Amen.

Jump-Start Your Dreams\Calling ❤

God Given Dreams

Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18, KJV)
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint (Proverbs 29:18)

What is the dream that God's placed in your heart?
What has God given you a passion for?
What do you feel called to do?

Doesn’t matter if it is – Small | Big | Now | Future

Dream Big | Plan Big




Don’t  Bury your dreams so deep in your heart in order to protect them from the criticism of others.

Don’t  Set them out of sight so they don't have to think about them anymore.

Don’t  Give up on your dreams because it hurts too much to hold on.

If your dream needs a jump-start, make a
start to move forward not worrying how small or awkward the steps maybe because these tentative first steps can lead to amazing and glorious things.

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide,   do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.  Isaiah 54:2

Having a God given Dream doesn't mean that it will instantly happen. God's is as interested in the process as He is in the end result.

The apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:11-13 that he had learned how to be content and satisfied to the point where he was not disturbed by whatever state he was in. In other words, he never allowed himself to get upset with where he was at the moment, he was always looking forward to where he could be.

That means you, like Paul, need to find a balance between contentment and the plans God has for you in the future.

Time to step out – Give Fear the boot!

God and His presence, peace and wisdom are our companions on our journey. He never leaves us nor forsakes us.

Keys:
* Learn to enjoy where you are on the way to where you're going.
* Be true to You and God, focus on Gods will not other peoples will for you.

When you have a dream or a vision, you have to keep it in front of you. If it helps, write it down. And remember, God will help you live the dream He's given you, step-by-step, one day at a time.

Your destiny is shaped in what you do in your day-to-day life.

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practise is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash (Matthew 7:26-27).

A great place to start is to realise that your dream\calling is shaped by what you do in your day-to-day life. The things that you do on a regular basis build the foundation that your life is constructed on, whether positive or negative.

Remember

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).

What is the greatest commandment of all the Scriptures?

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31).

Jesus, even though I don't always feel like it and life tries to get me to quit, I believe You have a great plan for my life. I choose to trust You to help me live the dream You've given me more than I trust my circumstances.
